An all-Adams Kawasaki Final for Teasley and Adams Performance
Jeremy
Teasley beat team boss Coby Adams in an all-Adams Performance,
all-Kawasaki ZX14 HTP Performance Real Street final at the Lee’s
Performance Fall Bike Nationals, the final round of the 2009 Mickey
Thompson MiRock Superbike Series. Fabulous weather, large fields, a
huge crowd, and tight points battles made for a perfect finish to the
season at Rockingham Dragway in the sand hills of North Carolina.

Running a comparatively mild motor this time around in the Michelin
Power One-equipped, Friction Unlimited bike known as “Digger,” Teasley
used superb, consistent riding to make his way through the competitive
field. Aboard Roger Starrette’s blue ’14, builder/tuner Adams was
getting reacquainted quickly to riding a big bore bike with a big shot
of nitrous and by the end of the weekend Adams was smooth as silk.
“The Adams camp had a great weekend,” said Teasley. “Coby and Garron
(crew chief Garron Miller) figured out what was wrong with Digger, and
that was a good thing to find out.” Starting in September at Atco
Raceway, the bike had taken to leaning out and eating exhaust valves.
The problem resurfaced at Norwalk, and Adams traced the cause to a bad
fuel pump just before Rockingham.

“The first pass off the trailer at The Rock we ran an 8.00 with the
clutch slipping, so I was happy with that,” continued Teasley. “I kept
making smooth runs, doing the same thing, then before I knew it, Coby
and I were in the finals! We couldn’t ask for anything better!” Adams
put up a stout battle, but Teasley took the stripe for yet another win.
“Now I hope to have a good weekend in Valdosta,” finished Teasley, who
will be fighting round for round with rival Keith Thompson for the BST
Real Street championship at the AMA Dragbike National Finals at South
Georgia Motorsports Park near Valdosta this weekend, November 13-15.
